![]() App Store apps can be completely uninstalled like on the iPhone by holding a click on them in launchpad and clicking the x when they start to wiggle. The idea is if you change your mind and reinstall it, all your settings are still there. Some apps will leave behind their preferences or a little junk in the library but for the most part it’s inconsequential. You can explore this by right clicking an app and hitting show package contents. Why a folder? Because the folder contains all the files the app need to run inside it. Instead of opening the folder, you are opening the app inside it. When you double click to launch an app, you are actually double clicking a folder with an icon.
